Introduction

Welcome to the overview of the 2019 Craft Fair series by Lyric Lover Crafts! In this article, we will be recapping the highlights and low points of the craft fairs, as well as discussing the best and worst sellers. If you’re a craft fair enthusiast or looking for inspiration for your own crafting business, this article is for you!

Highlights

Let’s start by discussing the highlights of the 2019 Craft Fair series. One of the best sellers at the craft fairs were the large notepad wallets. People absolutely loved these wallets, as they were not only practical but also affordable to make. The large notepad wallets sold like hotcakes and were a favorite among customers.

Another top seller was the Little Golden Book junk journals. These journals, made from upcycled Little Golden Books, captured the hearts of customers. The amount of work put into creating these journals paid off, as they became one of the top bestsellers of 2019. The price point of $25 per journal didn’t deter customers, as they recognized the value and uniqueness of these handcrafted items.

Christmas bookmarks and Bri’s lip balm favors were also top sellers at the craft fairs. Customers couldn’t resist buying multiple bookmarks for their friends and loved ones. As for the lip balm favors, they were an absolute hit and almost sold out. Customers appreciated the quality and variety of lip balms offered.

The cardstock mini-albums and Dear Santa packs were also popular items among customers. The mini-albums, despite being higher priced, sold over half of their stock. Customers recognized the artistry and value behind these mini-albums. As for the Dear Santa packs, they completely sold out at the first craft fair and nearly sold out at the second one. These packs were a definite favorite among customers.

The art binders took the craft fairs by storm. With their beautifully painted covers, these binders sold out within hours of their pre-sale release. Although we couldn’t assess their performance at the craft fairs, their popularity online indicates that they would have been a bestseller.

Low Points

While the 2019 Craft Fair series had many highlights, there were also some low points. The clothespin magnets and wanderlust journals belonged to this category. The clothespin magnets didn’t perform well, with only half of them being sold. This suggests that customers were more drawn to Christmas-themed items rather than everyday magnets. Similarly, the wanderlust journals had slow sales, possibly due to the Christmas focus of customers.

The mini holiday backpacks and lollipop favors also didn’t sell well. Although people admired the creativity and cuteness of these items, they didn’t sell in large quantities. The more complex process of making these items might have contributed to their low sales. As a result, they might not be produced again in the future.

Another low point was the commonplace books. Despite being a personal favorite of the crafter, these books didn’t resonate with customers at the craft fairs. The crafter speculates that the Christmas-themed items attracted more attention and overshadowed the commonplace books. However, the books found a place in the craft fair boxes purchased by customers, indicating that there is still potential for them at future craft fairs.

The tutorial for these mini-albums was highly regarded and showcased one of the crafter’s favorite projects. While they didn’t sell out, they sold over half of their stock, indicating their success among customers. The cardstock mini-albums were a notable addition to the craft fair series.

Dear Santa Packs

The Dear Santa packs were a favorite among customers and one of the bestsellers of the 2019 Craft Fair series. The art binders were a highly sought-after item and a testament to the crafter’s talent.

Cute and Simple Drag Books

While they may not have sold in large quantities, the fact that a significant number of them were sold is a positive outcome. The cute and simple drag books were a charming addition to the craft fair series.

Tea Favors

The tea favors, accompanied by honey packs, were a hit at the craft fairs. Customers fell in love with these favors and often bought multiple sets for their friends and co-workers. The $2 price point of the tea favors made them an affordable and delightful option for customers. The appeal of a warm cup of tea during the holiday season contributed to their success. The tea favors were a successful addition to the craft fair lineup.

Handmade Christmas Cards

Handmade Christmas cards are always a hit or miss at craft fairs, depending on customer preferences. This year, the handmade Christmas cards performed well. Worst Sellers

Clothespin Magnets

The clothespin magnets might not be produced again unless their design is changed to align with the Christmas theme.

Wanderlust Journals

The wanderlust journals had slow sales at the craft fairs. Customers didn’t show much interest in these journals, possibly due to the focus on Christmas-themed items. However, it’s worth noting that the wanderlust journals offered a unique and creative option for customers who appreciate travel and adventure. While they didn’t sell in large quantities, they still had their own charm.

Mini Holiday Backpacks

The mini holiday backpacks, created by Bri, didn’t sell well at the craft fairs. Although customers admired the creativity and craftsmanship behind these backpacks, they didn’t buy them in large quantities. The more complex process of making these backpacks might have contributed to their low sales. As a result, they might not be produced again in the future.

Lollipop Favors

The adorable lollipop favors, also made by Bri, didn’t sell in large quantities at the craft fairs. Customers found them cute, but they didn’t buy many of them. Despite the low sales, the simplicity and ease of making these favors make them a potential item for future craft fairs.

Commonplace Books

The commonplace books, although loved by the crafter, didn’t resonate with customers at the craft fairs. It’s possible that the title “commonplace books” didn’t attract customers who were more drawn to Christmas-themed items. However, one customer did purchase a commonplace book and appreciated its uniqueness. The crafter plans to continue making these books but might market them as journals instead of commonplace books to increase their appeal.
